Balayage, ombré and money-piece colour put emphasis in different places. One adds painted dimension; another concentrates a transition through the lengths or a brighter frame around the face.

These names are not interchangeable. Bring a reference showing the placement you want, including where the lighter colour begins. Discuss the contrast with your base shade and the effect when your hair is tied back. Your colourist can assess what is achievable from your starting colour.
